Federal charges against 3rd suspect still pending, says FBI
Two Reading men have admitted to their roles in the armed robbery of a bank in Schuylkill County last year.
Quamaine Irvin Smith-Tisdale and Justin Allen Smith pleaded guilty in federal court to charges of robbing the Union Bank and Trust in West Brunswick Twp., Schuylkill Co., on April 18, 2011.
Smith-Tisdale, 23; Smith, 21; and Orlando Velez Jr., 23, all of Reading, were later apprehended after leading police on a high-speed chase, the FBI said.
Smith-Tisdale and Smith face up to 25 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine, federal officials said.
Charges against Velez are still pending, said U.S. Attorney Peter J. Smith.
