Several injured in 2-car accident in Mahoning Twp.

MAHONING TWP., Pa. -

Several people were injured Thursday night in a two-car accident in Carbon County.

The accident happened around 6 p.m. when a minivan and a sport utility vehicle collided at the intersection of Mahoning Drive East and Grist Mill Road in Mahoning Twp.

Fire companies from Mahoning Valley and Lehighton worked to extricate the victims from the wreckage.

There's no word on the extent of the injuries.
