TOBYHANNA TWP., Pa. -

A proposed resort for the Poconos is inching its way toward reality.

Supervisors in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County have given conditional approval for land development from Kalahari Resorts.

The company wants to build a $231 million resort in the township.

Township officials say construction crews are scheduled to break ground sometime around September.

The township still has to sign off on procedural and administrative items.

Water and sewer agreements must also be finalized.
