One person was injured early Wednesday when a van slid off a snow-covered road and hit a utility pole in Schuylkill County.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. on Route 443 in West Penn Twp.

Officials said the accident took place just east of Mill Road and the van was then hit by another vehicle.

A woman, who was a passenger in the van, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital-Miners.

There were no other injuries reported.
