Police in Schuylkill County are looking into an accident that sent a woman and a four- year old child to the hospital.

It happened Monday afternoon in the 1800 block of Route 309 in West Penn Township.

Police say the woman swerved to avoid hitting a tractor trailer ... but her vehicle ended up underneath the truck.

The woman and the child were both flown to the hospital.

There is no word on their conditions.
