NESQUEHONING TWP., Pa. -

The Allentown bomb squad was called out to a neighborhood in Nesquehoning Township, Carbon County.

A 69 News crew was on the scene at 6th Avenue.

The bomb squad was called out to that neighborhood around 7 a.m.

Around 12:30 p.m., the bomb squad was seen preparing to leave the scene.

There's no official word yet on what prompted the bomb squad to be called out the area.

The Nesquehoning Township police would not provide any details, as of Saturday afternoon. An officer told 69 News that the matter is "under investigation" and would not provide any further information.

A representative with the Allentown Bomb Squad said the squad responded to a mutual aid call regarding a suspicious package being brought to a home. After investigating, it was determined the package did not contain any suspicious materials.

A neighbor tells 69 News a box with the words "tick tock" written on it.
