Man extradited from N.C. to Pa. in connection with Carbon Co. homicide
Anthony Heath found in Angela Steigerwalt's car, used her credit card, police say.
An Allentown man who was arrested in North Carolina in connection with a homicide investigation in Carbon County is back in Pennsylvania.
Officials say Anthony Heath, 24, has been extradited. He's being held in Carbon County prison on $1 million bail.
Heath was arrested Sunday in Kinston, North Carolina, and police say he was driving Angela Steigerwalt's car.
Her charred remains were found Saturday in a wooded area in Jim Thorpe, Carbon County.
Police say Heath used Steigerwalt's credit card to purchase lighter fluid and a lighter at a Walmart in Lehigh County on the day her body was found.
Right now, Heath is charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 19th.
