Police: Andretti not involved in garage controversy

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

Bethlehem Police said the son of a world-famous racing family is not involved in a parking garage incident in Bethlehem.

Marco Andretti's car drove through a broken gate at the city's North Street Garage Thursday night, officials said.

Police said after reviewing surveillance footage of the gate, there was no evidence that Marco Andretti was involved in damaging the gate.
Officials also said a man contacted the Bethlehem Parking Authority on Friday morning, claimed responsibility for the incident and offered to pay for the damage.

Andretti was not charged in the incident.
