Shoppers take break to send cards to troops away from home
It wasn't all about finding steals and deals at the mall on Friday.
It was also about sharing a Christmas greeting and a big thank you to the troops.
The Lehigh Valley Mall near Allentown and the American Red Cross gave shoppers the chance to take a break from the bustle of Black Friday to send a holiday card to members of the military.
It's part of the Holiday Mail for Heroes program.
Mall officials said it's the least we can do for the troops during the holidays.
"It's something special and very easy that we during the liday time," said Amanda Johnson.
Visitors to the mall can send their holiday wishes now through December 11.
