Solar panels to save school district $40K each year

The Governor Mifflin School District is getting greener.

SHILLINGTON, Pa. -

The Governor Mifflin School District is getting greener.

The district is installing solar panels on top of the intermediate, middle and high schools.

Pa. Sen. Judy Schwank, D-Berks County, stopped by to check on the installation Thursday afternoon.

The district said the move to install the panels will help it save $40,000 per year in energy costs.
