State Latina Festival To Be Held In Berks County

READING, Pa. -

The state plans to kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month with a symposium in Berks County.

The Governor's Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs announced today that Reading will host the Latina Women Symposium.

Attendees will get information on how to start or expand a business.

They'll also get tips on how to live healthier lifestyles.

"A lot of people are talking negative stuff about the city and we want to make a statement, a clear statement that Reading's best days are still ahead of us," said Norman Bristol Colon.

The symposium will begins September 15.
