IronPigs ready to open 2013 season
Lots of new features at Coca-Cola Park await fans
The night baseball fans have been waiting for in the Lehigh Valley has arrived.
The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs will host the Syracuse Chiefs Thursday night for the opening of the 2013 regular season at Coca Cola Park.
There are lots of new attractions for the fans to see at the park this year, including two new seating areas.
"That's the Hot Corner in left field with 360 degree swivel seats. These seats have wait service. You won't ever have to leave your seats to watch the game, right down on field level, these are going to be popular seats. We also have the new Bacon Strip in right field, modeled after the Fenway Park Green Monster seats," explained Kurt Landes, IronPigs general manager.
There is also new food including the "Sooeey'te Spot" frozen yogurt bar and a "Boar-rito" Mexican stand.
Stop by the new "Pork Center" to see the team's social media hub or follow them on Facebook or tweet them @IronPigs or @PorkCenter.
The first 3,000 fans will get fleece blankets on opening night.
