Quakertown's Sines 5 & 10 turns 100
A Quakertown staple celebrates 100 years on Friday. Sine's 5 and 10 has been on Broad Street since 1912.
The general store and soda fountain is still owned and run by the same family, and even sells a lot of the same products it did decades ago. They have everything from candies to a year-round Christmas room to kitchen utensils and more!
The owner, Bill Harr, told us his family's secret to a century of success.
He said, "Service, I believe. Trying to find the odd ball items. And being a greeter- I've become a greeter. I stand out front and greet the people as they come in."
Sine's even still has a few things that are still five cents and ten cents!
They're also having a big 100th anniversary celebration Friday and Saturday, during normal business hours.
There will be live music, magic, specials, collective merchandise, and free cotton candy for the kids!
It's free to attend, so just stop by!
Sine's is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
