The man who police say fled the state after stabbing and killing another man in Reading has pleaded guilty to third degree murder charges.

Authorities said Jean Verly has admitted to killing Victor Mota.

They said Verly stabbed Mota after an argument over a cellphone and money in the 200 block of North 4th Street in Reading in September of last year.

Verly was arrested in New York hours after the stabbing.
