EASTON, Pa. -

A Bethlehem police officer accused of concealing evidence is looking to enter a program for first-time offenders.

In addition, the attorney for Officer Michael Lenner said his client has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Prosecutors said Lenner concealed surveillance video of an arrest made outside "Roosevelt's 21st," a bar on Elizabeth Avenue.

The bar's manager, Thomas Urglavitch, is facing similar charges.

Officials were seeking the video in an excessive force case involving Bethlehem police Officer John Nye, who has since been cleared.

Both he and Lenner were suspended without pay.

The Bethlehem police commissioner has recommended both officers be fired.
