ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Plans to develop a slice of land along the Lehigh River are moving along in Allentown.

The city planning commission on Tuesday gave tentative approval for the $275 million waterfront project.

The proposed development would bring office space, apartments and retail businesses to the 27-acre property under the Tilghman Street bridge.

Developers are hoping to get final approval for the first phase of the project in the coming months.
