it's time to take a look back at the week that was in your 69 news week in review. monday, a teenager was arrested in allentown.. accused of shooting and killing another teen sunday night. police arrested 18- year-old manuel figueroa in the shooting death of 19-year-old danny velez in allentown. police say figueroa shot velez in the head when he was parking his car near 7th and gordon streets. they say velez's car then crashed into a parked car. figueroa is being held without bail. tuesday, the northampton county district attorney announced he believes a charity set up for a sick baby was all a scam. john morganelli says the "save baby myah foundation" that was created by arielle lucinda brooks isn't a real charity. the foundation says baby myah suffers from juvenile leukemia and other ailments, but morganelli says investigators found out the baby isn't sick at all. morganelli said he expects to file criminal charges soon. he also says brooks is using several aliases in an attempt to continue collecting donations. the two men vying to be the next mayor of reading squared off in a debate tuesday night. republican jim mchale and democrat vaughn spencer debated a variety of the two discussed police force.. and how to use reading's resources about the financial condition of the city.between now and the november election. a man they believe is responsible for a deadly year-old angel barrero malave and charged him murder in the death of 28-year-old jemssy stabbed cabassa-bracero and left him to behind the el faro restaurant.muhlenberg township on thursday.news week in review.
