A Montgomery County woman has been convicted of killing a baby in her care.

Melissa Haskell of Upper Merion Township was found guilty of third degree murder Wednesday night.

Police say she suffocated a 5-month-old boy she was babysitting in 1992.

Investigators originally said the baby died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS.

They reopened the case last year after a tipster said Haskell admitted to suffocating the child.

Haskell will be sentenced in 90 days.
