Allentown cop Jeffrey Rush pleads guilty to public drunkenness

An Allentown police officer has pleaded guilty to public drunkenness.

Officials say Jeffrey Rush entered the plea Tuesday for an incident that happened Sept. 23, 2013.

According to the DA's office,  it all started near Candida's Bar in the 200 block of North 12th Street in Allentown.

Officials said Rush broke a vehicle window and pushed in window air conditioners in the area. He was off duty at the time.

Rush was placed on administrative leave from the police force following the incident.

He was ordered to pay $750 in fines, court costs and restitution.

Charges of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief were withdrawn.
