Alvernia baseball begins Commonwealth title defense

Crusaders out to good start behind deep rotation

Alvernia baseball out to strong start this season

READING - The Alvernia baseball team captured it's first Commonwealth Conference Championship last season. The Crusaders have picked up right where they left off, going 11-4 through the first month of the season.

Head Coach Yogi Lutz lost a few key pieces to his lineup from last season. But the Crusaders offense has picked up the slack in the early going.

If the bats can continue to produce consistently, that's bad news for the rest of the Commonwealth due to Alvernia's starting pitching depth, which is deep and experienced.
