Former school principal ordered to trial on riot charges

READING, Pa. - The former head of a Reading school, charged with inciting a riot at that very school, is heading to trial.

A preliminary hearing was held Friday for Andre Bean, who was fired from his position as principal of the now-defunct Delaware Valley High School in September.

Bean then bribed students to start a riot at the school, investigators said.

Charges including criminal solicitation and reckless endangerment have been bound over for trial.
