Andretti looking for redemption at Pocono

Andretti looking for redemption at Pocono

As the IndyCar Series makes its return to Pocono Raceway this weekend, it does so with a number of interesting subplots.

One is the attendance.  Numbers are expected to drop drastically this weekend, and the track's president has admitted that that drop may put the future of the IndyCar Series at Pocono in jeopardy.

Another subplot is Nazareth native Marco Andretti's pursuit of redemption at Pocono.  Marco had the pole for last year's race at Pocono, but he ran out of fuel down the stretch on race day.

Last week, Marco was penalized for not heeding a blue flag and was subsequently fined by IndyCar.

The qualifying runs are set for Saturday and the race itself will begin at noon on Sunday.
