Austin Scott pleads guilty to selling marijuana

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A former Parkland High School football star has admitted selling marijuana.

Austin Scott pleaded guilty Monday to four felony counts of delivery of marijuana.

Scott, 29, of Allentown, was accused of selling marijuana to undercover officers on four separate occasions in July, September and October 2013 at various locations in South Whitehall Twp., Lehigh Co., and Allentown.

Scott's attorney, James Heidecker Jr., said Scott admitted to delivering 3 to 3-1/2 grams of marijuana to undercover officers on four occasions. The quantity qualifies as a 'small amount' but is still considered a felony.

Scott was a 2003 graduate of Parkland and helped the team win a state title in 2002.  He was heavily recruited and eventually played for Penn State.

Sentencing is set for May 28.
