BC girls preparing for Archbishop Wood in state opener

Lady Saints face tough task in first round

Lady Saints preparing for test against Archbishop Wood

READING - The Berks Catholic girls earned the sixth seed out of District 3. For that, the Saints get Archbishop Wood in their state opener, the top seed out of District 12.

BC knows it has a big test ahead, but the team has been feeding off the energy of a historic season during the week's preparation.

This is the first state appearance for the Lady Saints since becoming Berks Catholic. Win or lose on Saturday, the program has become one of the best in both Berks County and District 3 in a very short time.

Tip-off is set for 5:00 at Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor.
