Berks County falls in Carpenter Cup opener

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Tri-Cape defeated Berks County, 9-8, on Tuesday night in each team's Carpenter Cup opener.

Berks trailed by three a pair of times during the game. Eric Hartranft tied the game at 3 in the fifth inning.

After Tri-Cape grabbed a 6-3 lead, Hunter Wysocki drove in Connor Tom to once again knot the game up at 6 in the 6th inning.

Berks County took their only lead in the 7th when Dan Louviaux scored on an error to make it 7-6.

But Tri-Cape roared back to capture a 9-8 win late and eliminate Berks County from the Carpenter Cup.
