Berks NFL Stars Rally For Recreation

READING, Pa - Two Wilson High School graduates who've made it in the NFL are raising money to give back to their community tonight.

The Gilmore-Henne Community Fund is holding its Rally For Recreation fundraiser at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center.

Miami Dolphin Quarterback Chad Henne and Tampa Bay Buccaneer Tight End John Gilmore both played football at Wilson.

The proceeds from tonight's fundraiser will be used to clean up area playgrounds, and encourage neighbors to help keep them clean.

We're hoping that helping to revitalize these parks in the way we're trying to do it, will help filter out into the community and it won't just stop at the parks, Gilmore said.

Several local celebrities attended tonight's fundraiser, along with several other NFL players.
