A-Rod homers as Trenton knocks off Reading

TRENTON - The Trenton Thunder defeated the Reading Fightin Phils Friday night, 6-2, at Arm & Hammer Park. Alex Rodriguez homered for the Thunder, the second time he's done so against Reading this year.

A-Rod is expected to be hit with a suspension any time this weekend, which means his games in Trenton good very well be his last for a long period of time. Currently, talks between Rodriguez and Major League Baseball have stalled, giving the slugger a chance to perhaps get back to the Yankees by Sunday.

Jesse Biddle suffered his 12th loss of the season. The Phillies top prospect pitched five innings, giving up three earned runs.

The series continues on Saturday night at 7:05.
