After storm, BARTA, Bieber bus service returning to normal

Bieber canceled early-morning runs to, from NYC

WEST READING, Pa. - The day after Berks County's biggest snowstorm of the 2017-18 season, mass transit and inter-city transportation are returning to normal.

BARTA buses resumed regular service Thursday morning, about 12 hours after the snow forced the agency to put the brakes on all its buses.

Buses seem to be rolling without much trouble, but passengers should use caution when stepping onto or off the buses, as the streets and sidewalks may still be a bit slippery at the bus stops.

Kutztown-based Bieber Tourways canceled some of its early-morning runs to and from New York City and Philadelphia on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Bieber ran only five buses to and from New York City and canceled all of its service between Berks County and Philadelphia.
