Alvernia women more complete team in 2013

Alvernia women primed for better season in 2013

READING - The Alvernia women's basketball team suffered through a nine-win season last year. But the Crusaders showed signs of brilliance, especially from their young guards. With most of that back court returning and the addition of some size, Alvernia should have more success this season.

Key returners include Brittany Young, Kaitlyn Yoh, Mya Lobb, Stevie Fortna and Chelsea Ebersole. All five are guards and should be bolstered by the addition of bigs Trayvonda Rice, Morgan Downs and Tyra Roberts.

Alvernia begins its season on Saturday against Gallaudet in Lexington, VA.
