Barn Fire Reported in Upper Bern Township

UPPER BERN TWP., Pa. - Firefighters battled a barn fire in Upper Bern Township on Sunday.

Berks County Communications dispatchers said the fire was reported at 6:45 a.m. at a barn at 56 Winterhill Rd. Firefighters remained on scene shortly after 10 a.m..

Fire officials told 69 News that the first responding companies found the barn, which contained hay, fully engulfed.

A photo submitted by a 69 News viewer shows the fire encompassing the barn. Two silos containing cow feed also caught fire, according to firefighters.

The investigation is underway. Officials said they don't yet know how the fire started.
