BC girls knock off Weiser in divisional showdown

Berks Catholic girls stay perfect in league play

READING - The Berks Catholic girls defeated Conrad Weiser, 43-29, on Tuesday in a meeting between a pair of Berks II rivals at Wolf Gymnasium.

The Saints (5-0, 12-2) used a 25-16 second half run to pull away from the Scouts (3-2, 9-4) and stay perfect within the league.

BC's Courtney Wensel led all scorers with 15 points. Devon Merritt chipped in 13 of her own.

Kennedy Lutz paced the Scouts with 14 points.

Berks Catholic takes on Schuylkill Valley Thursday. Conrad Weiser will play at Twin Valley that same night.
