Berks #2 among Pennsylvania counties in reported flu cases

HARRISBURG, Pa. - There are more people battling the flu in Berks County than in almost any other county in Pennsylvania.

In its latest report released Wednesday, the state Department of Health ranked Berks second out of 67 counties in reported flu cases, with 345.

In first place is Allegheny County, which includes Pittsburgh, with 378 flu cases.

More than 3,500 flu cases have been confirmed statewide since October 1.

The health department said it will keep monitoring flu activity through May.
