Berks groups hope to dance their way into record book

READING, Pa. - Three local non-profits are hoping to dance their way to a new world record.

Berks Salsa Fest, RIZE and I-LEAD will be kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month in September with the Berks Salsa Fest Dance for the Arts.

The goal is to break the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of salsa dancers in the world.

The groups made the announcement Thursday.

In case you were wondering, the current record is more than 1,600 people dancing the salsa for two minutes.
