Berks homicide suspect not fighting return from Illinois

Albany man accused of killing Lehigh County woman

ALBANY TWP., Pa. - A Berks County man accused of killing a Lehigh County woman won't fight his return to Pennsylvania from Illinois.

During a court hearing in Champaign County on Friday, Christopher Ryan Tucker waived his right to fight extradition on charges that include first- and third-degree murder.

The waiver will likely speed up Tucker's return from Illinois, where he fled earlier this week after killing his girlfriend, Tara Marie Serino, at his home in Albany Township, Berks County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

PSP troopers found Serino's body wrapped in a blanket inside Tucker's home Wednesday night, hours after her father reported her missing.

After his arrest in Illinois, Tucker told a detective he killed Serino, 19, of Orefield, after she rejected his marriage proposal and told him she was seeing other men, according to court documents.
