WINDSOR TWP., Pa. - An accident left a 21 year-old Berks County man dead Thursday.

The crash was reported shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Windsor Castle Road near Kohler Hill Road in Windsor Township, east of Hamburg.

The coroner was summoned to the scene about 45 minutes later.

Brendan T. Forrest, 21, of Lenhartsville, was attempting to negotiate a hard left curve in a wet stretch of Windsor Castle Road when his pickup truck "struck a large tree with its roof while overturning," according to state police.

Forrest's vehicle, a Dodge Ram, landed on its back on the road.

Police noted in a release that the vehicle was being driven at "excessive speed."

Forrest was entrapped in the vehicle and died at the scene. He was the only person involved in the accident.
