Berks organization seeking homeowners for free home remodel

Deadline to apply is February 16 at 4 p.m.

SPRING TWP., Pa. - Time is running out to apply for a free home makeover.

Each year, the HBA Restoring Hope Foundation in Spring Township remodels the home of a local family in need.

The foundation is seeking homeowners who have special needs or who have been through tough times. The winner's home will be transformed, free of charge, during a week in September.

"We have over 100 businesses that help us every year. We usually have 40 to 50 individuals that come and donate," said Diane Salks, Restoring Hope Foundation chairwoman. "It's just wonderful to see how giving and charitable Berks County is."

Applications should completed and sent or delivered to:

HBA Restoring Hope Foundation
c/o Home Builders Association of Berks County
25 Stevens Avenue
Building B, Suite 1
West Lawn, PA 19609-1425

Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. Friday, February 16.
