Body discovered in Douglass Twp., coroner called to scene

DOUGLASS TWP., Pa. - A man's body was discovered in Berks County Tuesday morning. 

The coroner was called to Quarry Road, between Constitution Avenue and Ben Franklin Highway in Douglass Township, according to officials. 

A West Pottsgrove police officer found the body around 6 a.m. in a water runoff basin, said Douglass Township Police Chief John Dzurek.

Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation. 

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
