BOYERTOWN, Pa. - A police officer in Berks County is recovering from injuries he suffered in a scuffle.

The Boyertown officer was trying to arrest a man at a Circle K convenience store on South Reading Avenue late Saturday night, according to court documents.

Police said the man pulled away, causing both men to fall and the officer to break his wrist and hurt his knee.

The suspect, identified as Matthew Krauss, 22, of Douglass Township, Montgomery County, managed to get away. He's facing charges of aggravated assault, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, and loitering.
