Bullets look to defend state softball crown

Brandywine coming off title season

Bullets look to defend state championship

TOPTON - The Brandywine Heights softball team broke a curse last year that had been haunting it for nearly a decade. Since 2005, the Bullets had lost in four state championship games. But when Brandywine captured the state title last year in Happy Valley, the burden was lifted.

The Bullets have entered this season with last year's championship run in the back of their minds.

But they know that will only make things more difficult this season

With some valuable veterans returning, Don Roach's squad has been quick to turn the page and focus on the title defense.
