Candidate for Congress talks Social Security in Reading

READING, Pa. - The Democratic candidate for a Congressional seat that includes Berks County said he'll fight to keep Social Security from being privatized.

Manan Trivedi marked the 79th anniversary of Social Security with supporters on Penn Street in downtown Reading on Thursday.

Trivedi said the best way to preserve Social Security is to invest in jobs and the economy.

He's running against Republican Ryan Costello in the sixth congressional district.

Congressman Jim Gerlach is not seeking a seventh term.
