Cevallos moves on to Framingham State

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University's President is leaving his post for Framingham State University.

F. Javier Cevallos, who has been at the helm of Kutztown University since 2002, has accepted a new position at Framingham State University as president.

Cevallos was selected Tuesday by a unanimous recommendation from Framingham's Board of Trustees.

Daniel Magazu, Director of Communications at Framingham, said they were pleased with Cevallos' experience and vision for the future of that university.

However, The Massachusetts Board of Higher Education will decide whether to accept the recommendation on Jan. 21.

Cevallos' departure leaves a gap to be filled for KU's top job.
