Charges filed in dirt bike theft

WEST READING, Pa. - Police say two men are facing charges after being caught with a stolen dirt bike and they say one of the suspects tried to run an officer down with the bike.

Police were called to the area of Second and Hudson streets in Reading Wednesday afternoon after officers spotted the stolen dirt bike.

When they tried to apprehend the suspects police say one of them started driving at the officer.

The officer used his Tazer to subdue the man but we're told the suspect hit a parked vehicle and managed to run away before being caught a few blocks away.

Police say the dirt bike was stolen from West Reading.
