Church serves up community Christmas meal in Boyertown

BOYERTOWN, Pa. - Across Berks County, many spent Christmas with family and friends.

Folks gathered at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boyertown on Monday for a community holiday meal, where they shared a big, family-style lunch complete with turkey, ham and dessert.

The meal was free, and everyone was invited to attend.

"We usually feed about 150 people in house, and then we usually have at least 50 meals go out," said organizer Noelle Dierolf.

Organizers said it was a true team effort to get everyone fed.
