Church service celebrates Thanksgiving

WEST LAWN, Pa. - For many Thanksgiving isn't just about feeding your body it's about feeding your soul.

A Thanksgiving-Eve service was held at West Lawn United Methodist Church Wednesday night.

The service celebrated the World Thank Offering collected by the church's United Methodist Women group.

"I think it's important that at least once a year, we take time to think about what it is that God has done in our lives and we celebrate in the community of faith in which we belong," said Anna Bickhart.

The annual church celebration goes back more than 140 years.
