Conshohocken man charged with defrauding company

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. - A Conshohocken man is facing charges of defrauding his company out of more than $13,000.

Michael Kirk, 54, while working as an independent home contractor, allegedly defrauded Devikon Construction Group out of $13,250, according to police.

The alleged actions took place in Berks County from July to November in 2017. In January, 2018, Amity Township police Detective Michael Dimaria was assigned the case.

According to police, Kirk accepted multiple payments for Devikon and did not give the payments to the company.

Kirk is facing charges of theft by decep- false impression, false statement to induce agreement for home improvement services and unlawful taking. Kirk faces multiple counts of each charge.

He is free on $10,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 16.
