Coroner: Cause of death undetermined for missing woman

Autopsy report expected in 6-8 weeks

BERN TWP., Pa. - An autopsy has failed to shed new light on the death of a woman who went missing from her home in Berks County last week.

The autopsy on Natividad Nina Salamone was done Tuesday, but the coroner's office said it will have to wait another six to eight weeks for the autopsy report to be complete before investigators can determine a cause and manner of death.

Salamone's body was found Monday morning behind a distribution center on Benjamin Franklin Highway in Douglass Township. The 55-year-old woman was reported missing from her nearby home Friday evening.

Douglass Township police handled the initial missing person case, but Pennsylvania State Police are working with the coroner on the death investigation.
