Coroner IDs man found dead in Schuylkill River, seeks family

BERN TWP., Pa. - Authorities have identified the man whose body was found in the Schuylkill River in Berks County over the weekend.

It appears Randy Scott Fabian drowned in the water, according to the coroner, who has not yet determined the official cause of death.

Fabian, 56, was last seen alive at Reading Hospital on September 8, officials said. He was found dead in Robeson Township on Saturday, wearing hospital socks and health-monitoring pads attached to his chest.
