Court documents: Man admits to recording people in bathroom

SINKING SPRING, Pa. - A 19-year-old man from Sinking Spring, has admitted to taking pictures and videos of men and women using the restrooms on the Berks campus of Penn State University.

Mario Dino Mondelice, 19, used his iPhone between January and April of this year to record people in the stalls of the men's and ladies' restrooms inside the school's Franco Building while he was sitting on the toilet in an adjacent stall, according to court documents.

Students on the campus of Penn State Berks spoke out after hearing about the allegations.

"I think it's disgusting. I don't know who would do that," said Marissa Venezia.

"With the rape and everything, it goes back to that. Like what if he's intentionally looking for someone, and then that might lead to something," said Alysia King, student.

University officials told 69 News that Mondelice had not been enrolled at Penn State Berks since the spring semester.

It is alleged that Mondelice made special, lewd requests to one of the victims by e-mail.

Investigators analyzed Mondelice's cell phone, and they say he admitted to the crimes.

Mondelice was subsequently charged with invasion of privacy, criminal trespass and harassment.
