READING, Pa. - The suspect in an ambush shooting of another man has now been charged with physically and sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl over a number of years.
Christopher Yingling is accused of punching and kicking the alleged victim, taking and sharing nude pictures of her, sexually assaulting her and attempting to sell her to his friends for sex, according to detectives with the Berks County District Attorney's office.
While the alleged victim reported being abused over a number of years, she cited for investigators a series of events she claimed occurred between June 1 and Dec. 27, 2011.
During that time, Yingling took pictures of the girl's naked body with a cell phone and sent those pictures to other people, detectives said.
On one occasion, the girl told detectives Yingling woke her and forced her to have sexual intercourse.
And several times, Yingling physically forced the girl to call his friends on a cell phone and offer sexual acts in exchange for money, said detectives, who interviewed the men who were contacted. One said he was solicited to have sex with the alleged victim for $50, according to court documents obtained by 69 News.
At the time of his arrest on Thursday, Yingling, 42, of Birdsboro, Berks Co., was in the Berks County Jail on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault. He was arrested on Jan. 24 after he allegedly ambushed his girlfriend's ex-husband, shooting him numerous times on a parking lot in Spring Township.
The shooting, investigators said, stemmed from a domestic-related incident.
Yingling was arraigned Thursday in connection with the sexual assault case on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, indecent exposure, endangering the welfare of children, prostitution and related offenses, obscene and other sexual materials and performances, criminal use of communications facility, simple assault and corruption of minors.
A judge set Yingling's bail at $200,000.
69 News is withholding the name of the girl involved in the case because of the nature of the allegations.
