Blazers edge Bears in overtime to keep playoff push alive

BOYERTOWN - The Daniel Boone boys (11-9) escaped with a 51-49 victory at Boyertown (7-12) on Wednesday night.

The win should go a long way in securing a county playoff spot for the Blazers. As for a District berth, Boone still has a little work to do.

Kenny Worthington paced the Blazers with 17 points, including the go-ahead free throws in the game's final seconds.

Boyertown's Ryan Corcoran led all scorers with 19 points. Kyle Dennin added another 14 .

Daniel Boone is at Reading Friday then at home vs Wilson on Tuesday in a gauntlet final stretch. The Bears will visit Perkiomen Valley Thursday.
